This talk will explore how automotive companies are deploying the OpenChain Specification as a practical solution for Open Source Software Supply Chain Management (OSS SCM). Endo San from Toyota will explain how this solution aligns with traditional SCM processes and requires minimal process alteration. Shane Coughlan will discuss how companies like Scania are using the OpenChain Specification in deployment. One goal of this talk is to show how automotive companies of all sizes can save time and money by adopting common governance approaches to shared technology investments. The secondary goal is to provide tangible examples of these approaches to help make adoption as quick and as efficient as possible.
