The Linux Foundation (LF) Core Infrastructure Initiative (CII)
Best Practices badge is a way for Free/Libre and Open Source Software (FLOSS) projects to determine and show that they follow best practices. There are now over 2000 participating projects, with more participating projects and more passing projects practically every day.

This presentation will discuss the latest events in the badging project. This includes the modifications to support external dashboards and their use in the CNCF landscape,
discussions to help clarify the badge criteria, and significant attention by the R community. There was even a front-page Hacker News discussion about the badging project. We will discuss the challenges of keeping our components up-to-date,
as an example of the problems all operating projects face. We will also discuss how we are ensuring that the software is secure (as an example).
