In recent years, there has been a strong trend to use open source software (OSS) for innovation. The adoption of open source software allows us to accelerate software development by using solutions of already solved problems.

In this talk, Alan will share his experience in leading innovation in various areas by collaboration with open source ecosystems, including cloud native applications(Project Harbor and CNCF), Internet of Things ( EdgeX Foundry ), blockchain (Hyperledger) and artificial intelligence. The key success factors of building leadership in OSS include openness, multivariation and symbiosis. Alan will provide case studies of Chinese and global community on each of these factors during the session.
